In 2008 James was appointed by Knauf Drywall as a Project Specification Manager, providing technical support to architects, main contractors and sub contractors.
After a number of years focusing on internal drylining James was given the opportunity to work with Knauf Façades, aiding with the final development and release of their new 'through the wall' façade system.
Key milestones include working on the Olympic Main Stadium, the Olympic Media Centre, various multi-storey residential developments, BSF (Building Schools for Future) schemes and the very first UK scheme to utilise a 'through the wall' façade system from a single manufacturer.
In 2012 James moved to an independent drylining consultancy, initially employed to provide site based monitoring services on prestigious schemes within London, James was then given the lead role in the development of an off-site system. Working closely with the client, James provided detailed design and R&D support to progress the unique systems through design, laboratory testing and the delivery of a construction package.
In 2013 the company structure changed, at which point James was given the sole responsibility of running the design business.
Working on many prestigious developments James and his design team provided high quality technical support and construction packages for their clients, whilst also aiding the site based team (a separate company).
Key milestones include achieving SMAS accreditation, monitoring of installation on Fitzroy Place and Battersea Power Station along with the full design for schemes such as One Tower Bridge, One Blackfriars, Fulham Reach and Chelsea Creek to name a few.
J.Green Drylining Consultancy was launched in October 2017 with the ambition to build an honest independent drylining consultancy delivering a high quality service.
